2002 Started 55 of Miami’s 59 games predominantly at second base ... boasted the team’s best fielding percentage (.969) among infiedlers ... batted a career-best .310, increasing his career batting average 20 points to .277 ... went on a five-game hitting streak from March 5-11, going 9-for-19 (.474) with eight runs scored ... equaled his career high with three runs scored against Monmouth (March 11) ... knocked his first triple of the year against IPFW (March 27) ... belted home runs in consecutive games during a doubleheader at Marshall (April 27) ... maintained a 17-game stretch from April 12-May 4 without committing an error in 92 chances ... was perfect from the plate for the first time by going 3-for-3 against Kent State (May 19).
