In his third season as a starter for Miami he played in 56-of-59 contests, starting 31 games at third base, nine at shortstop, two at first and second, and one as a designated hitter and left fielder ... knocked in six RBI at Northern Kentucky (March 5) while ripping his first career grand slam ... belted two home runs in a 22-6 win over Iona (March 10), one was a three-run shot while the other was his second grand slam of the season ... bettered his career best of six RBI with seven against Iona ... tied his career best, four hits, with a perfect 4-for-4 day against Monmouth (March 11) ... ripped two two-run doubles in an 11-3 win against Buffalo (April 20) ... hit two home runs for the second time at Marshall (April 26), crossing the plate a career-high five times ... received a career-high four walks at Akron (May 11) ... only caught stealing once in six attempts.
2001
Started 53-of-57 games played, mostly at third base with some time at second and first base ... finished the season fourth on the team in base on balls with 20 free passes ... swiped six bases in ten attempts ... in a 10-4 second-round victory over Ohio at the MAC Tournament (May 19), he went a career-best 4-for-5 with two RBI and two runs ... crossed the plate four times against Akron (May 6), two days after setting a career-high with four RBI in a contest against Akron (May 4) ... went 3-for-4 with two RBI and two runs in 16-4 rout of Xavier (March 27) ... had a season-high 12-game hitting streak from March 31-April 15, batting .377 (17-45) and plating 12 runs during the 12-game stretch.

Played in 44 games, starting 31 at first base, third base and designated hitter … led Miami freshmen in batting average (.324), home runs (2), slugging percentage (.451) and on-base percentage (.421) … batted .357 in MAC play … collected two RBI while going 2-for-2 in collegiate-debut versus IUPU-Fort Wayne on February 29 … went 3-for-4 with two RBI and two runs scored versus Spalding on March 25 … amassed 3 RBI and first collegiate home run in a March 28 victory at Xavier … collected a MAC single-game-high 3 RBI at Central Michigan on April 10 … went 7-for-7 with three runs scored and two RBI and doubles in three pivotal victories over Ohio May 13-14 ... in the MAC Tournament, batted .333 (4-for-12) in four games ... started all four contests at third base ... went 2-for-5 with 2 RBI in title-clinching win over Ball State.
