Joe Renner is in his second season at Miami, working primarily with the RedHawk pitching staff.
A graduate of Northern Kentucky University, Renner’s playing career was highlighted by two years in the Great Lakes Collegiate Baseball league and a national championship in 1989 while a member of the Midland Redskins.
He began his coaching career in 1992, spending two seasons coaching American Legion baseball. In 1995, he joined the independent Prairie League as an assistant coach. Renner moved on to Northern Kentucky in 1996, working as an assistant coach with the Norse’s baseball program. Additionally, he has served as pitching coach and recruiting coordinator for the Midland Redskins since 1997, winning national championships in 1997 and ’98.
Renner earned his bachelor of arts from Northern Kentucky in sociology.
