Played in five games, earning his first career start against Wright State on April 12... batted .200 with one hit in five at-bats... was 1-for-2 with a run scored against the Raiders... all of his other appearances came as a pinch-hitter... in his first plate appearance, he drove in a run with a bases-loaded walk... had one error in seven chances.

Earned three varsity letters at Butler High School... named all-section twice... was named a Player to Watch by the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette... batted .481 with eight doubles and 25 RBIs... an all-conference selection and WPIAL All-Star... earned a spot on the school's Honor Roll.
