Began the season as the RedHawks’ regular left fielder, but also saw time at first base and DH ... was a third-team ABCA All-America and All-MidEast Region First-Team selection ... member of the Mid-American Conference first team and the MAC all-tournament team ... his 19 home runs led the team and set a Miami single-season record ... ranked 10th in the MAC with a .651 slugging percentage ... hit his first career grand slam, a walk-off home run, at Northern Kentucky (March 5) ... recorded a career-high five RBI and three home runs in a 11-5 win at Cincinnati (March 7) ... it was the second time in his career that he hit three home runs in a contest ... was perfect from the plate against Georgia State (March 30) going 3-for-3, and was a double short of hitting for the cycle ... tied his career best with four hits in five at-bats at Indiana (April 9) ... hit three home runs in a single game for the third time in his career at Marshall (April 26), also knocked in four runs ... named MAC East Division Player of the Week after going 11-for-21 with five home runs from April 23-April 28 ... plated four runs for the fourth time with two round-trippers and a 3-for-4 performance against Ohio (May 5) ... his longest hitting streak of the season was a four-game stretch from May 11-May 15 ... broke a Miami and MAC single-game record with his four home run performance against Eastern Michigan (May 23) in the MAC Tournament ... also was the only five-hit game of the season for the RedHawks and the second seven-RBI contest.
2001
Finished his first full season at Miami ranked fourth on the team with a .362 batting average and was second on the team with four triples ... had 16 multiple-hit contests and hit safely in 29-of-37 games played ... went 4-for-5 at Ohio (April 29), crossing the plate twice ... followed this performance up with a 3-for-4, two-RBI, four-run game vs. Akron (May 4) ... recorded a career-high five RBI at Buffalo (April 14), going 3-for-4 while belting his first collegiate home run ... his two three-baggers vs. New Mexico (March 16) was a RedHawk season best, while he knocked in his first two RBI.

Against Dayton (March 8), had two at bats and ripped a double ... also added two assists versus the Flyers ... versus Louisville (March 12), had one hit in three at bats ... finished the year with 13 at bats.
