Made seven appearances, starting five... posted a 1-0 record and 2.96 ERA... threw 24.1 innings... allowed 29 hits and 11 runs (eight earned)... struck out 14, while walking seven... made his first collegiate appearance against Lehigh on March 6... gave up a pair of unearned runs in 1.0 innings pitched... made his first career start later that week (March 10) vs. Xavier... tossed five scoreless innings, but did not get a decision... struck out a season-best five against Eastern Kentucky on March 23... his longest outing of the year -- six innings -- came in his first collegiate win (vs. Xavier April 13).

HIGH SCHOOL
Played four years of baseball at Brookfield High School, including two on the varsity... named all-conference and academic all-conference twice... an all-area selection... set the school's single-season strikeouts record with 156... a member of the National Honor Society... also lettered three times each in football and wrestling.
