Primarily used as Miami’s No. 3 starter for the second straight year ... finished third on the team in wins (5) and fourth in ERA (5.01), innings pitched (73.2) and strikeouts (51) ... went 5-3 on the season, including a 10-9 victory over Kent State to advance to the championship round of the MAC Tournament ... scattered four hits and one earned run in seven innings at Kent State (May 13), receiving no decision, but RedHawks won the contest 7-5 ... struck out a career-high eight batters in 7.1 innngs vs. Dayton (May 7) ... pitched three innings of relief at Austin Peay (March 25), allowing just one hit and two unearned runs en route to recording only save of the season ... tossed a nine-inning complete game vs. Xavier (March 21), allowing one unearned run while striking out five ... the 4-1 victory over the Musketeers was his only complete game of the season. 2000
Primarily used as Miami’s No. 3 starter ... second on team in wins (8) and innings pitched (81.1), and third in strikeouts (46) ... had an 8-4 record and a 5.42 ERA in a team-high 20 appearances ... his complete-game victory versus Ohio (May 19) sent the RedHawks to the championship round of the MAC Tournament for the third consecutive year ... scattered seven hits and allowed four earned runs in Miami’s 10-5 win over the Bobcats ... struck out three and walked three in that game ... pitched in third game of NCAA Regional championship versus Texas, taking the loss despite working six and one-thirds innings ... scattered 12 hits and seven runs while striking out one against the Longhorns ... in Miami’s 9-0 win over Hartford (March 13), pitched six scoreless innings, allowing just three hits and striking out five batters ... followed his Hartford performance with a one-hit shutout over Detroit 11-0 on March 18 ... his seventh win of the year was an important victory over Ohio (May 14) as he pitched his fourth complete game of the year, scattering seven hits and striking out six Bobcats ... good fielding pitcher as he had no errors in 19 chances.
1999
Led Miami to the MAC Tournament championship game by picking up the win in Game Three of the conference tournament, pitching five innings and striking out five batters ... shut down Central Michigan on April 11, picking up a complete-game victory and allowing no runs on four hits ... threw eight and two-third scoreless innings versus Virginia Tech, rendering six hits and two walks and striking out four batters while on a fractured foot.

Named one of the top 100 prep juniors and seniors by USA Today ... named first-team all-state as a first baseman by the Chicago Sun Times and second-team all-state as a pitcher ... honored as a second-team all-American by the National High School Baseball Coaches Association in 1997 ... three-time all-conference selection ... compiled a 26-5 overall record and 216 strikeouts during three seasons as a pitcher ... holds Naperville North records for career and season home runs, RBIs and pitching wins ... batted .427 with 10 HRs and 51 RBIs as a junior ... owned a 2.16 ERA as a senior, including 78 strikeouts.
