HIGH SCHOOL: A four-year varsity letterman in baseball at Penn High School... was a first-team all-conference selection as a senior... also named District Player of the Year and NIC Most Valuable Player... won the NIC batting title and was ranked ninth in the PBR rankings... led the Kingsmen to a record of 26-5 as a senior, including 14-2 in conference play... Penn finished the season as NIC and sectional champions... hit .423 with nine home runs... spent 2 years on the varsity hockey team... was valedictorian, a National Merit finalist and AP scholar.
