Miami Women's Basketball, Butler County Humane Society and Animal Adoption Foundation (AAF) are teaming up for a good cause! The three will join forces on Dec. 30 for the Paws for a Cause promotion. The effort is being spearheaded by Assistant Coach Vicki Hall.
All fans who bring an item from the AAF's wish list (see below); will receive a discounted admission price of $3. These wish list items are materials that the AAF needs to run everyday operations and ensure the highest quality of care for animals ready for adoption.
"Miami Women's Basketball is excited to partner up with the Butler County Humane Society and AAF," Hall remarked. "We hope that the Butler County community will help in our drive to support local shelters."
There will be special four-legged guests on the concourse for all fans to enjoy, as well as information about how you can make a difference in the lives of animals.
Wish list items include both dog- and cat-related items:
- Cat Litter (the cheaper the better..non-clumping)
- KMR kitten formula
- Dog collars (with holes)
- Dog leashes (good quality nylon)
- Dry Kitten Food
- Cat and Dog Treats
- Canned dog and cat food

- PetSmart gift certificates
- Dog beds (prefer the Kuranda brand)
- Frontline Fleas and Tick Preventative
- Revolution for cats/kittens
- Dewormer
- Hydrogen Peroxide
- Cotton balls
- Grooming tools
- Plug-in air fresheners
