Miami Mini Cheer Clinic

2012-2013  Miami Cheerleading

Miami University Cheerleading does not receive scholarships. However, all uniforms, clothing, equipment, travel expenses, and camp expenses are paid for by the university. The program consists of two squads (Red and White) and will have both male and female members. Each squad will have a variety of co-ed and all-girl stunting.

 

Red Squad Requirements

-          Standing tuck (females)

-          Tumbling sequence (females)

-          Hands (co-ed) Half (all-girl)

-          Extension (co-ed) Full (all-girl)

-          Liberty (co-ed and all-girl)

-          Stretch (co-ed and all-girl)

Red Squad members will be required to attend camp, cheer all home and away football games, all men’s home basketball games, and will have the opportunity to be a part of a competition squad.

* Travel will be determined based on a point system.

* Competition will be decided by the coaches.

 

White Squad Requirements

-          Back handspring (females)

-          Tumbling sequence (females)

-          Hands (co-ed) Half (all-girl)

-          Extension (co-ed) Full (all-girl)

-          Liberty (co-ed and all-girl)

-          Stretch (co-ed and all-girl)

White Squad members will have the chance to be pulled up to cheer at home and away football games, will cheer at all home women’s basketball games, and will have the opportunity to be a part of a competition squad.

* Travel will be determined based on a point system.

* Competition will be decided by the coaches.

 

Tryouts will be held April 28th-29th, 8:00am- 4pm, at Millett Hall (Sub Gym).

Tryouts will consist of the following:

-          Fight song

-          Chants

-          Tumbling

-          Cheering at Spring Game

-          Response to interview question

-          Stunting

* Stunting experience is required for females.

Females: Please wear red, white, or black sports bra, black shorts/spandex, appropriate cheerleading shoes, hair half up with a bow, and game day make-up.

 

Males: Please wear a red, white, or black T-shirt, black shorts, and tennis shoes.
