Miami ISP Sports Network

Miami Sports Network
In the first year of its partnership with ISP Sports Marketing, the Miami ISP Sports Network continues to cover RedHawk Athletics, with its impressive group of affiliates blanketing most of Southwest Ohio and Southeast Indiana.

Miami Director of Broadcasting Steve Baker joins Tim Bray in the booth and sideline reporter Neil Dougherty as they deliver the play-by-play accounts, commentary and sideline updates for the Miami ISP Sports Network. The crew's play-by-play was recognized by the Ohio Associated Press as second best in a large market in 1997.

In addition to the flagship station WMOH (1450-AM), Hamilton, Ohio, the Miami ISP Sports Network boasts four other affiliates--Supertalk WFTK (96.5-FM) in Cincinnati, G-101.3 (101.3-FM) in Richmond, Ind., WONE (980 AM) in Dayton and WMUB (88.5-FM) in Oxford.

The Miami ISP Sports Network is anchored by Baker who returned to the microphone six years ago as the "Voice of Miami Athletics," following a four-year absence. Baker served as Miami's play-by-play announcer for a decade from the mid-1980's to 1997.

Assisting in the booth and providing color commentary is Tim Bray, the director of media relations for the Kentucky Speedway and a former sports anchor on WKRC-TV in Cincinnati. A 1978 graduate of Bowling Green State University, Bray has been associated with MAC football since 1975, working on the MAC's Television and Radio Games of the Week. In addition to covering the Cincinnati sports scene, Bray has handled radio play-by-play duties for Ohio State, Cincinnati, Xavier and BGSU.>p> Covering the sidelines for the Miami ISP Sports Network is former Miami and Moeller High School quarterback Neil Dougherty. A 1995 graduate, Dougherty posted some of the most prolific passing totals in school history to that point. He is fifth in all-time career passing yardage (4,074) and fifth in career completions (365).

Miami graduate Dick Simmons returns for his 10th season on the Miami ISP Sports Network. The Mount Vernon, Ohio, native serves as network spotter/statistician.

Tommy Leugers also is back for his 10th season as the Miami ISP Sports Network's on-site producer/engineer. Leugers is assistant program director at 1360 Homer, Cincinnati's FOX Sports Net radio affiliate.

Miami's football broadcasts include a 60-minute pregame show and a 30-minute postgame show. HawkTawk Powered by Cincinnati Bell, Shane Montgomery's radio show, airs at 7 p.m. Thursdays during the regular season on WMUB-FM 88.5, WFTK-FM 98.5 and WMOH-AM 1450. In addition to providing in-depth coverage of RedHawk football, the Miami ISP Sports Network covers Miami ice hockey and men's and women's basketball.

The Miami ISP Sports Network broadcasts also are available on the RedHawks' official web site at www.MURedHawks.com. CSTV once again will partner to provide the audio streaming for the Miami ISP Sports Network on the internet.

The Miami ISP Sports Network increased its role on the internet three years ago by adding MSNi, an internet radio station that provides 24-hour broadcasts of replayed football, basketball and ice hockey contests as well as live broadcasts for many RedHawk non-revenue sports, including baseball, softball, field hockey and women's soccer.
