Chances are, your questions can be answered here
The following information is provided for convenience and ease of use. It is not intended to be a complete statement of the rules and regulations of Miami University Athletic Facilities. The Miami RedHawks reserve the right to change or modify these rules at our discretion. Nothing in this document should be construed as a contract between the Miami RedHawks and any other party.
All policies are subject to change.
A
Address The address for the Miami RedHawks is: Miami University Athletics, 230 Millett Hall, Oxford, Ohio 45056. All correspondence can be mailed to this address. Telephone number is 888-864-0013.
Administrative Offices The administrative offices are located in Millett Hall.
Advanced Ticket Sales Please refer to the Ticket Sales section of this guide for more information.
Alcohol Policy Alcoholic beverages are only permitted in designated areas, but not inside the gates of any playing facility. Guests identified with alcohol inside the facility will have the alcohol confiscated and may be ejected from the facility. Possession and consumption of alcohol in any facility, and/or parking areas are subject to the laws and regulations of the State of Ohio and/or City of Oxford. Miami University Police Officers patrol these areas and enforce all applicable laws.
Animals Animals, except for service animals assisting visitors with disabilities, are not permitted inside the gates/doors of any playing facility.
Anthem Singers Please refer to the National Anthem section in this guide for more information.
ATMs Automated Teller Machines (ATMs) are not located in any of our event facilities but the closest ones are located:

Alumni Gatherings/Tent At certain athletics events, Miami alumni can join their fellow RedHawk's fans for food and fun before the game. Please refer to the Miami University Alumni Association website for further information regarding these events. The Red and White Club also host tent and gathering opportunities at some contests and special events. Please contact the Red and White Club office at 513-529-8097 for more information.

Babies/Toddlers Tickets Fans age 2 and under may be admitted to Miami games without an admission ticket. However, they must sit in the lap of an accompanying adult.
Baby Changing Areas Baby changing tables are available in nearly every restroom facility. Please ask an usher for directions to the nearest one.
Bad Weather All sporting events at Miami University are `Rain or Shine' events. Only in extreme inclement weather are competitions canceled or postponed. If there are questions about an event being canceled due to weather, please call 888-864-0013.
Bags Bags and/or backpacks larger than 9" x 11" are not permitted in Miami University athletic facilities. A guest attempting to enter with a larger bag will be asked to return it to their vehicle. All bags are subject to search. To ensure fan safety, the University reserves the right to refuse admittance of any item deemed hazardous or suspicious.
Banners and Signs The entry and display of banners and signs in Miami University Athletic Facilities is permitted within certain guidelines to ensure the safety and enjoyment of all patrons. Signs can be no larger than a 3' square, and electronic or dry erase boards are not permitted at any time. The times of display are limited to before the game, during intermissions and after the game. The University reserves the right to confiscate banners/signs with an inappropriate message, causing a disturbance and/or obstructing sightlines. Banners/signs may never be mounted on sticks, wooden frames, or any similar apparatus and may not be attached to any railings.
Bottles, Cans and Outside Beverages No outside beverages of any kind may be brought into Miami Athletic Facilities. Hard-sided coolers and thermoses are not permitted into the facility.

Broken Seat Please report a broken seat or other things of that nature directly to the nearest venue employee.
Bus Parking Please refer to the Parking section in this guide for more information.

Cameras and Video Equipment Cameras are permitted in our facilities; however at no time may photography/videography interfere with the athletes or other guests. All forms of video and motion picture cameras are strictly prohibited, including the use of cellular phones and other electronic devices. Guests are also not permitted to use lighting or camera support tripods.
Concessions Concessions are located at all Miami University athletic facilities. Credit cards and meal plans are accepted at select locations.
Contests - In game Fans are selected at random to participate in any in-game contest. We do not allow fans to sign up in advance. To increase your chances of being selected, arrive early to the game and where RedHawk gear. Those wearing merchandise from other pro-teams will not be chosen!
Costumes RedHawks management reserves the right to refuse entry and refund the ticket price of any individual in an inappropriate costume.
Credit Card Policy All major credit cards are accepted on game day. If you are purchasing advance tickets only VISA, American Express and MasterCard will be accepted.
Cradle of Coaches Plaza The Plaza honors legendary coaches that have impacted Miami University Athletics. The Plaza will include statues of the eight Miami graduates who were Coach of the Year and a plaque to commemorate the origin of the Cradle of Coaches in 1959.

Directions The Oxford campus is located 35 miles northwest of Cincinnati and 40 miles southwest of Dayton. U.S. Route 27 and State Route 73 are the main highways to Oxford.
On game day select streets may be blocked or have traffic control officers giving directions. Please follow the signs and directions for your appropriate venue and parking lot. Below are detailed driving directions to the Miami University campus. Please refer to our website for additional information and our Football Game Day Parking Map.
From the North- I-75 south to I-70 west to SR 127 south (Exit 10, Eaton/ Hueston Woods); Turn left off of exit ramp. Follow SR127 through Eaton and Camden to State Route 73; Turn right and follow SR 73 to Oxford.
From the South- I-75 north to I-275 north (Take the airport exit which goes off to the left); Follow signs for Indianapolis/Cincinnati (I-275 splits and becomes I-74/Indianapolis and I-275/Cincinnati-Dayton); Follow I-275 east towards Dayton, take the Colerain Avenue exit(Exit 33) and turn left. This is Colerain Ave/ SR 27 north, this will take you into Oxford.
From I-70 going East- Take the SR 27 south exit in Richmond, Indiana; Proceed through Richmond and Liberty, Indiana and into Oxford.
From I-70 going West- Continue west to SR 127 south (Exit 10, Eaton/ Hueston Woods); Follow SR 127 through Eaton and Camden to State Route 73; Turn right and follow SR 73 to Oxford.
Allow extra time for entrance into Oxford on game days.

Family Rest Rooms There are family restrooms in every Miami University Athletic Facility. Please ask your usher for directions to the nearest one.
Family Meeting Area For those looking for a place to meet up with their party please utilize our family meeting areas. Family meeting areas are located at the following locations:

Fan Conduct The RedHawks strive to provide its Guests with the most positive sporting experience in a safe, comfortable environment. To help us achieve our goal of outstanding customer service, we ask for fan cooperation in the following areas:
Dress appropriately. It is quite often cooler during outdoor night games. Respect other guests' ability to enjoy the game. Loud or obnoxious fans could be asked to leave the facility if their behavior is deemed to be offensive to guests around them. Please do not bring balloons, beach balls, nets or laser pointers into any athletic facility. These items are not permitted at any time. For the safety of all fans, do not interfere with the progress of the game or go onto the playing field. Any fan interfering with a ball/puck in play or going onto the field/ice will be removed from the facility and could be subject to arrest. Please sit in your assigned seat and be prepared to show your ticket to an usher or facility management upon request. Pets are not allowed in any enclosed building unless they are assisting visitors with disabilities.
"The Mid-American Conference and Miami University promote good sportsmanship by its student-athletes, coaches, and fans. We request your cooperation by supporting the participants and officials in a positive manner. Profanity, racial or sexist comments, or other intimidating actions directed at officials, players, coaches or team representatives will not be tolerated and are grounds for removal from this arena. Also, the throwing of any objects onto the playing floor is prohibited."

Food and Beverages Food and beverages are available throughout the facilities at concession stands and by Hawkers traveling through the stands (only at basketball games).

Game Times Unless otherwise announced, home games begin as dictated by the published schedule and there will be no refunds. Game times are subject to change. Please refer to the complete RedHawks schedule.
Gate Opening Times The gate/door opening will begin 1-2 hours prior to the beginning of the game depending on the facility. Please be in your seats before the game begins to not distract the athletes or other guests. Specific times are listed below for the following facilities: Yager Stadium: 2 hours prior Millett Hall: 1 hour prior Goggin Ice Center: 1 hour prior
Gift Certificates We currently do not offer gift certificates.

Guest Services will assist patrons with lost children, note customer remarks, handle emergencies, answer questions, etc. In addition, for the convenience of the patrons, the Guest Service staff maintains a complete supply of pocket schedules.

Handicapped Entrance/Seating Guests with a handicap or in a wheelchair should enter at the following locations and ask an usher or Guest Services for any assistance. Objects Thrown in Seating Area Guests are not permitted to throw any objects around or within the Miami University Athletic Facility seating areas (e.g., baseballs, beach balls, shoes, seat cushions, hats, food, drinks, ice, coins, etc.). Failure to adhere to this policy may result in guest ejection from the stadium/arena.
Offensive Clothing Clothing with offensive language or indecent graphics is prohibited in Miami University Athletic Facilities. Offenders may be denied entry into or possibly ejected from the stadium/arena.
Opponents All Miami sports except for Ice Hockey and Men's Swimming and Diving are a member of the Mid-American Conference. Other schools affiliated with the MAC are Akron, Ball State, Bowling Green, Buffalo, Central Michigan, Eastern Michigan, Kent State, Northern Illinois, Ohio University, Temple, Toledo, and Western Michigan. Ice Hockey is a member of the Central Collegiate Hockey Association. For more information on the CCHA, including their other members visit the CCHA.
Men's Swimming and Diving is a member of the Sun Belt Conference. For more information on the Sun Belt Conference, including their other members visit the Sun Belt Conference.

Paging Paging fans over the public address system is not permitted. If you need paging for emergency purposes, please contact Guest Relations. To facilitate communication in case of an urgent request, please make sure that your friends and family know your seat location.
Parking Information Parking in University-operated lots can be purchased in advance (subject to availability) by calling 1-866-684-2957 or at the Miami Athletic Ticket Office. Space is limited.
Football Game Day Parking o Northbound traffic on US 27 is routed west on Chestnut, north on Campus Ave., east on Sycamore Ave., and into Gate 2. o Westbound traffic on SR 73 is routed north on Patterson, west on High, north on Tallawanda, west on Sycamore Ave. and into Gate 1. o When West Millett Parking Lot is full, the US 27 traffic is re-routed into the parking garage on Campus Ave. and the SR 73 traffic is re-routed down Bonham Road to the Pump House Parking Lot. o If the Pump House Parking Lot fills, SR 73 traffic is re-routed into Cook Field Parking Lot via the South Cook Entrance. o If the parking garage on Campus Ave. fills, US 27 traffic is re-routed northbound on Patterson at Chestnut, east on SR 73, and into Cook Field Parking Lot via the South Cook Entrance. o If Cook Field Parking Lot fills, traffic is re-routed to the Ditmer Parking Lot on SR 73 and the shuttle is re-routed to include the Ditmer Parking Lot. o If Ditmer Parking Lot fills, traffic is re-routed to the North Garage located by the McKie Field at Hayden Park (home of RedHawks Baseball).
Single Game Parking o Gate 1 & Gate 2 - $10
Parking Passes o Those with a parking pass for Parking Area AM will enter lot through Gate 1 off of Sycamore Ave. or through Gate 5 off of Bonham Rd. o Those with a parking pass for Parking Area AY, B, HP, or M will enter lot through Gate 3 off of SR 732 or through Gate 4 off of Bonham Rd. o Those with a parking pass for Parking Area D will enter lot through Gate 3 off of SR 732. o Those with a parking pass for Parking Area E will enter lot through Gate 5 off of Bonham Rd. o Those with a parking pass for Parking Area RV will enter lot through Gate 1 off of Sycamore Ave.
RV/Camper Lots: To reserve a RV/camper parking spot, please call 1-866-MUHAWKS or 513-529-HAWK for more information. The RV/camper lot is located in the Millett Hall parking lot and offers spots game-by-game or for the entire season. Prices included below.
o $50 for a 1-2 night stay o $300 for a season package
The RV/Camper Lots fill up quickly so call in advance to book your spot.
Football Season Ticket Holders Parking: Season ticket holders can purchase a parking pass for the entire season. Please contact the Ticket Office for more information regarding the different parking passes available and their prices. Locations are as follows:
o Hannon Park (limited) o Area B (field level) o Accessible Yager o M-Lot (with $1000 Red and White Club contribution) o Millett East (limited) o Accessible Millett Parking lots open 5 hours prior to the beginning of the game.
Men's Basketball Game Day Parking o Patrons holding a reserved parking pass are encouraged to enter through Gate 3, located off Bonham Rd. o Single Game (Gate 1 -- Weeb Ewbank Drive or Gate 2 -- University Ave.) - $5
Parking lots open 2 hours prior to the beginning of the game.
Women's Basketball Game Day Parking There is no charge for parking at women's basketball games.
Note: On days which both the men and women's teams play, the East Millett parking lot is reserved for those with reserved parking passes. All other patrons should park in the West Millett parking lot.
Hockey Game Day Parking Public parking for hockey games is available anywhere on campus except those lots that are monitored and reserved for those with a parking pass. Those with parking passes will directed to the appropriate lot.
The public can also utilize the Campus Avenue Parking Garage for $5.
Parking lots open 2 hours prior to the beginning of the game.
Miami University will not be responsible for loss or damage to vehicles parked for any athletic events or their contents. Holders of parking permits should clearly display their permits from the rearview mirror of their cars to assist parking personnel in directing them to the proper lots. Permits should be displayed at all times to avoid being ticketed or towed. All drivers should be alert to instructions from the uniformed police officers and parking personnel who will be directing traffic. Patrons are reminded that normal parking regulations apply on game day. Vehicles parked in fire lanes, at the end of aisles, and in any other illegal location will be ticketed and/or towed. If you are unable to find a legal parking space, please see a parking attendant for assistance. Spaces are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Spaces may not be reserved for later arriving vehicles unless authorized by the Miami Athletic Department. Overnight parking is prohibited in all Miami University game-day parking lots. Automobiles are allowed to park in one designated space. Recreational vehicles will only be allowed into the lot with an RV pass. Recreational vehicles must be parked within two designated spaces. Space is very limited; throwing of footballs or other objects should be kept to minimal distances and out of roadways and other tailgater's areas. Repeat offenders may have their objects confiscated. Please be considerate of other fans trying to park in the lot. Fans may not display flags, balloons or signs more than 20 feet about the parking lot and also may not undertake any promotional, advertising or marketing activities in the Miami University lots without written authorization from the Athletic Department. Party Facilities Pre-game party facilities for group outings are available at Miami University Athletic Facilities. To inquire about and reserve a pre-game party, call the RedHawks at 513-529-4104.
Pets Animals, except for service animals assisting visitors with disabilities, are not permitted in Miami Athletic Facilities.
Playing Field Guests may not enter the playing surface at any time. Violators will be asked to leave and may be prosecuted.
Pre-Game On field pre-game activities featuring the Miami Band begin approximately 30 minutes before kick-off.

The University also reserves the right to remove or disallow other items as appropriate at any time.
Promotional Items/Dates The Miami RedHawks give away a variety of promotional items at designated games throughout the season. Promotional items have individual restrictions (e.g. first 5000 guests, ages 14 and under, Miami students, etc.) and dates and items are subject to change without prior notice. A game ticket does not guarantee the holder a promotional item. Promotional items are distributed one per person with no exceptions.
Publications The Miami Redhawks Athletic Department produces several publications throughout the year including the Media Guide, Team Posters, Souvenir Game Programs and Schedule Cards.

Radio Broadcasts Many RedHawk Athletic events are broadcast live throughout the season. The Miami ISP Sports Network includes:

Games can also be heard via the internet through the Miami All-Access Subscription Package.
Red and White Club - Annual Giving The Red and White Club is the official fundraising unit for Miami Athletics. Scalping To avoid problems with counterfeit, stolen, void, or inflated price tickets, purchase tickets only at the Miami Athletic Department box office or at Game Day Ticket Booths. Scalping is not permitted on athletic facility grounds.
Schedules Handy pocket schedules are available free wherever RedHawk tickets are sold. To receive a schedule by mail, write to Miami University Athletics Marketing Department, 230 Millett Hall, Oxford, Ohio 45056. Please specify which sport and the number of schedules needed. Scoreboard Greetings To make that special event more memorable, fans may request a scoreboard message for a small fee. Send your requests in writing to Miami University Athletics Marketing Department - Scoreboard Message, 230 Millett Hall, Oxford, Ohio 45056 or call 513-529-4104. Please allow at least three weeks prior to the game desired. Bear in mind the number of messages per game is limited and are available on a first come first served basis.
Season Tickets The Miami RedHawks offer a variety of packages for fans interested in the benefits of being a season ticket holder. For more information, contact the Miami University Athletic Box Office at 1-866-MUHAWKS.
Security Uniformed personnel are stationed throughout the athletic facilities during all events. In the case of a security incident, notify a uniformed employee and/or nearest uniformed security officer.
Smoking Miami University Policy Smoking is prohibited in all Miami University-owned facilities and on the grounds of any university-owned property. This includes all buildings owned or controlled by Miami University, shelters, indoor and outdoor athletic facilities, indoor and outdoor theatres, bridges, walkways, sidewalks, residence halls, parking lots and garages. Smoking is prohibited on sidewalks that adjoin University property. Smoking is also prohibited in any vehicle or equipment owned, leased or operated by Miami University.
Mid-American Conference Policy: The use of all tobacco products by players, athletics department personnel, and officials on the field, court, track, mat or course and adjacent areas (i.e. dugout, sideline, and bench) shall be prohibited during pregame activities and competition. Any individual discovered by officials to be in violation of this rule shall be immediately ejected from the contest.
Solicitation Miami University student groups are allowed to solicit and collect money for officially recognized charities, if approved by ICA, in the West Millet Parking Lot or outside Goggin Ice Center only. Special consideration will be given to those raising funds for health care and awareness groups. Groups will need to send all pertinent information to Keanah Smith (smithka3@muohio.edu) for approval. Requests need to be submitted no later than one week in advance of the desired time. Groups will be allowed to approach people in the parking lot as long as they are wearing something that identifies their group or cause (button, shirt, apron, etc.).

Student Bleacher Section The Student Bleacher Section is a first-come/first-serve section. Only Miami University students with a valid student ID will be permitted to sit in those sections. The Student Bleacher Section is located in the following areas of our facilities:

Tag-A-Kid Program The Tag-A-Kid Program is a free wristbanding program developed to help reunite lost children with their parents or guardians. In the unlikely event that you and your child are separated, your child will be wearing a wristband containing his or her seat location. This wristband will assist the RedHawk staff members in returning your child to their seat. The Tag-A-Kid Program can be found at the main ticket booth located in the Cradle of Coaches Plaza at Yager stadium and in the main lobby at Millett Hall and Goggin Ice Arena.
Tailgating (Football Only) Tailgating will begin four hours prior to kickoff but should conclude 15 minutes prior to the start of the game. No tents larger than 10' x 10' will be permitted outside of Tailgate Town. For those fans that are 21 or older, responsible alcohol consumption is permitted in designated areas. Fans consuming alcohol must present identification to appropriate law enforcement or university personnel when requested to do so. All beverages should be in aluminum cans, plastic bottles, or paper or plastic cups. Glass containers, kegs, hard liquor, drinking games or apparatuses for drinking games are not permitted. Trash should be placed into bags and placed within trash containers. Trash containers will be provided throughout the tailgating area for your convenience. We request your help in keeping our facilities on which you are tailgating clean and safe. You are allowed one space for tailgating which includes your vehicle. If your tailgating area goes beyond your space you will be charged for two spaces.
Tailgating Helpful Hints 1. Look around and check out what other tailgaters are doing. 2. If you are grilling out, make sure the charcoal is contained and disposed of in the containers provided. 3. Make sure you are in your seats before kickoff. 4. Most importantly...have fun, relax, and act responsibly!
Get the real RedHawks Football Game Day Experience...Come visit Tailgate Town! Tailgate Town opens two hours before kickoff and is located just north of Yager Stadium. Join us and enjoy interactive games, live music and delicious food! If you would like to purchase a tent or hospitality package in Tailgate Town, call RedHawks Sales and Service Account Executives at (513) 529 - 4104. Hospitality packages include reserved tickets, tent, tables, chairs, welcome signage, location in front of Family FunFest, and a visit from Swoop, Cheer Squad and Dance Team. Your space is in the middle of all the pre-game festivities. Catering options can easily be made through your personal Miami Sales and Service Account Executive.

Ticket Sales and Will-Call The Athletic Box Office at Miami University is located in the South Concourse of Millett Hall at the South Entrance. Visitor parking for ticket office guests is available in East Parking Lot of Millett Hall off Bonham Rd. Sports we ticket for are Football, Men's and Women's Basketball, Ice Hockey and Men's and Women's Track and Field.

Violation of Policies Any violation of Miami University policies or state/local laws may result in ejection, fines, and/or prosecution to the fullest extent of the law. Violators may be banned from future Miami University athletic events.
