We all know about Red Alert here on campus, and if you don't...you should! Red Alert is our largest student organization on campus and is the best organization to join if you're a Miami sports fan. Red Alert's mission statement explains "The goal of Red Alert is to bring students together to create one of the best home-site advantages in college athletics while leading the spirit, loyalty, and tradition on Miami's campus."
For only $20, each member of Red Alert receives a Red Alert t-shirt and an individually coded HawkCard, which is scanned at Miami varsity athletic events (volleyball, soccer, football, ice hockey, men and women's basketball, baseball, and softball). Each time a member scans their HawkCard, they earn points, which can be traded in for prizes, invites to exclusive events, viewing parties, and even road trips and tailgating.
Red Alert would not be as successful as it is without an incredible staff behind it. In order to make the magic of Red Alert happen, talented Miami students work together to produce all of Red Alert's functions. These students are Andrew Douglas, Kyle Hatton, Michael Maude, Michael Sullivan, Nancy Blake, Carson Drake, Clare Grall, Christian Pizarro, Chris Keslar, Natalie Ricci, and also VP of Partnerships & Events, Nathan Brinling, VP of Operations Rachel Gillespie, VP of PR & Marketing, Vanessa Salgado, and Chief of Staff, Katie Chokreff.
