MUNCIE, Ind.—With a 5-2 win on Saturday afternoon, the Miami University women’s tennis team extended its win streak to three straight. The RedHawks earned a Mid-American Conference road win at Ball State to move to 2-0 in league action and 10-4 on the season.

Miami earned wins at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles to capture the doubles points. Juniors Christine Guerazzi and Alix Thurman notched an 8-4 win at No. 1 doubles, while senior Nimisha Mohan and freshman Andreea Badileanu pounded out a decisive 8-1 win at No. 2 doubles. Because the doubles point was already decided, No. 3 doubles did not finish its match.

The Cardinals (11-7; 1-1 MAC) evened the match with a 6-1, 6-2 win at No. 1 singles. Junior Ramona Costea then posted a 6-1, 6-3 win at No. 5 singles to give Miami the go-ahead point. Guerrazzi followed with a 6-1, 6-2 win at No. 4 singles, and Raymond clinched the match with a three-set win (2-6, 6-3, 6-2) at No. 3 singles. Miami’s sophomore Ana Rajkovic also picked up a 6-1, 3-6, 6-3 win at No. 6 singles.

The RedHawks return home to host Louisville at 1 p.m. on Sunday, March 30 in non-conference action.
