SARASOTA, Fla.—Miami University’s women’s tennis team earned a 5-2 win against Stetson on Wednesday afternoon in Sarasota, Fla. With the win, the RedHawks move to 9-4 on the season.

Miami earned 8-4 wins at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles to claim the first point of the match. Senior Nimisha Mohan and freshman Andreea Badileanu picked up the win in the second flight, while junior Ramona Costea and senior Christiana Raymond earned the win in the third flight.

In singles action, Miami took four of the six matches. Badileanu won her ninth straight match with a 6-4, 6-0 triumph at No. 2 singles. Raymond posted a 6-2, 6-3 win at No. 3, while junior Christine Guerrazzi captured a 6-3, 6-1 win at No. 4. Costea was the other RedHawk to win in singles action behind a 6-3, 6-1 victory at No. 5.

Miami returns to Mid-American Conference action when it travels to Ball State on Saturday, March 29 for a 1 p.m. match. The RedHawks return home to host Louisville in non-conference action at 1 p.m. on Sunday, March 30.
