CLEVELAND—Miami University senior forward Will Felder was named the Mid-American Conference East Division Co-Player of the Week, the conference office announced Monday morning (Jan. 27).

Felder was a catalyst in two Miami wins last week as the RedHawks seized an 86-80 triumph over Central Michigan on Wednesday and captured a 70-65 road win at Bowling Green on Saturday.

Felder led all players with 22 points and a career-high-tying 13 rebounds against the Chippewas and shot a scorching 76.9 percent from the field. He knocked down 10 field goals, to tie a career high. It was the third time this season he has amassed 10 field goals in a game. It was the fifth time Felder scored 20 or more points in his time as a RedHawk and the third time this season. It also was his second double-double of the season and fourth of his Miami career.

Despite playing 19 minutes at Bowling Green, Felder tallied 12 points, his seventh straight double-figure scoring effort. He shot a strong 57.1 percent from the floor and 80.0 percent from the free throw-line in a big road win for the RedHawks, who extended their win streak to three straight for the first time since 2010-11.

For the week, Felder averaged 17.0 ppg, 7.5 rpg and shot a sizzling 70.0 percent from the field and 75.0 percent from the free-throw line.

This is the first MAC Player of the Week honor for Felder and the first of the season for the RedHawks. He shared East Division honors with Akron’s Demetrius Treadwell. Western Michigan’s Shane Wittington was the West Division honoree
