OXFORD, Ohio – For their performances last week sophomore swimmer Evan Bader and senior women’s basketball guard Hannah Robertson are Miami’s Athletes of the Week connected by Frontier Communications for the week of Nov. 18-Nov 24.
Bader won the 100 breaststroke with a time of 57.45 and was first in the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:06.89. He also was credited with a second-place finish in the 200 IM at 1:59.32 and was part of the 200 medley relay team that finished third (1:34.40) in a dual meet versus Purdue.
This is the first time this season and second time in his career that Bader has been named Miami’s Male Athlete of the Week. He previously earned the honor for the week of Oct.15-Oct. 21, 2012.
Robertson had a solid game in nearly leading the RedHawks to a comeback win over UIC in Miami’s only action on Saturday. She finished with 17 points, while also contributing a team-leading five rebounds and three assists. She finished 7-for-15 from the field, including 3-for-5 from behind the arc in 33 minutes of action.
This is the first time this season and second time in his career that Robertson has been named Miami’s Female Athlete of the Week. She previously earned the honor for the week of Jan. 14-Jan. 20, 2013.
