CLEVELAND—Five Miami University women’s soccer players earned spots on the all-conference teams, the Mid-American Conference announced on Friday morning (Nov. 8).

Senior forward/midfielder Katy Dolesh and senior midfielder Kayla Zakrzewski earned First-Team All-MAC distinction, while junior forward/midfielder Kelsey Dinges and junior defender Courtney Zanotti captured Second-Team All-MAC honors and forward/midfielder Rachel Marble was named to the MAC All-Freshman Team.

Dolesh is a four-time All-MAC selection, earning first-team honors the last three years and second-team recognition as a freshman. A captain for the RedHawks, Dolesh is tied for the team lead in goals with seven on the year to go along with two assists for 16 points. She ties for seventh among MAC leaders in goals.

Zakrzewski also is a four-time All-MAC selection, earning first-team distinction the last two years while being named to the second team her first two seasons at Miami. Zakrzewski is second on the team with 17 points on five goals, three of which were game winners, and seven assists. She ties for ties for second among MAC statistical leaders in assists and ties for ninth in points.

Dinges earned All-MAC recognition for the second-straight year and was a first-team honoree last season. She shifted positions midseason to forward and has scored four goals over the last seven games to total a team-leading 20 points on seven goals. She also has six assists. Dinges ties for fifth among MAC statistical leaders in points and ties for seventh in goals and assists.  

Zanotti, who was a MAC All-Tournament Team selection a year ago, earns her first All-MAC honor as a junior. Zanotti has led a stingy Miami defense that has allowed just 21 goals all season while setting a team record with 11 shutouts on the year. Zanotti played a team-high 1,818 minutes for the RedHawks.

Marble earned All-Freshman Team honors after playing in every game for Miami this season, making 12 starts for the RedHawks. Marble tallied two goals for the RedHawks, including one game winner.
