CLEVELAND - The Mid-American Conference announced its weekly players of the week on Tuesday. Earning MAC Offensive Player of the Week is junior back Ali Froede. It is the third time this season and fifth time in her career that she has won a weekly award. It is the second time she has won the offensive award to go with three defensive honors.

Froede recorded a pair of goals for the Miami offense this past weekend. She scored the game-winning goal against Missouri State to help lead the RedHawks to a 2-0 record in the MAC after the 5-2 win. She added another goal against 18th-ranked Iowa on Sunday and now leads Miami with eight goals on the season.

This is the second straight week Froede has been honored, she was named the MAC Defensive Player of the Week last Tuesday. She also was MAC Defensive Player of the Week on Sept. 4 this season.

Miami has its most important week of the season so far as it hits the road for a pair of Mid-American Conference games. On Wednesday, the RedHawks travel to Athens for a 5 p.m. game against Ohio. On Sunday, Miami heads to Kent State for a noon showdown against the Golden Flashes.
