FORT WAYNE, Ind.- Junior forward Will Felder scored a career-high 15 points, but a Mario Hines' layup with two seconds remaining lifted IPFW (5-4) to a 57-56 victory over Miami University's men's basketball team Saturday night at Memorial Coliseum.

Allen Roberts had given the RedHawks (3-3) a one-point lead with a pair of free throws with 24 seconds to play, but Miami was unable to pull out the win. Roberts finished with 11 points, going 9-of-10 from the free-throw line. Felder also posted a game-high eight rebounds and had two blocked shots.

Felder scored Miami's first seven points of the game and helped the RedHawks open up a 16-6 lead by the 14:22 mark. After Miami posted an 18-8 advantage with 12:41 remaining in the opening half, IPFW went on a 7-0 surge to close within three of the RedHawks with 9:04 to play.

Junior guard Quinten Rollins tossed in a bucket at 8:20 to give Miami its first points in nearly four minutes and ignited an 11-0 flurry over the next four minutes as the RedHawks pushed their lead to 29-15, its largest lead of the game. The teams traded free throws and Miami again held a 14-point advantage 30-16. The Mastodons outscored the RedHawks 6-2 over the closing minutes to shrink the Miami lead to 32-22 at the half.

A Kevin Harden jumper to open the second-half scoring cut the Miami lead to single digits, 32-24. Sparked by four points from Rollins, the RedHawks used a 6-0 run to push their lead back to 14 points with 15:45 remaining, 40-26. After an IPFW 3-pointer, a pair of Felder free throws at 14:28 put the RedHawk lead at 42-29.

The Mastodons then put together a 12-0 run to close within one with 10:33 to play, 42-41. Free throws by Roberts and layups from Rollins and freshman guard Reggie Johnson gave Miami a six-point cushion with 8:12 remaining, 48-42. IPFW's Michael Kibiloski sunk a trey at 5:43 to knot the game, 50-50, and a jumper by Frank Gaines at 3:29 gave the Mastodons their first lead of the game, 54-52.

IPFW took a three-point lead with 1:10 remaining off a free throw, but Johnson sunk a pair of free throws for the RedHawks with 43 seconds left and Roberts drained two charity tosses with 24 seconds remaining to hand Miami a one-point edge, 56-55.

Mario Hines' bucket with two seconds remaining kept the Mastodons unbeaten at home. Although they went 6-for-6 from the free-throw line over the final minutes, the RedHawks went the final 6:52 of the game without a field goal.

IPFW, which had shot just 30.8 from the floor in the first half, shot 54.2 percent from the field in the second half.

Joe Edwards was the lone Mastodon in double figures with 11 points.
