OXFORD, Ohio—Miami University Cheerleading is seeking enthusiastic individuals with a passion for inspiring others with their RedHawk spirit at athletic events for the 2014-15 seasons. Tryouts will be held April 12-13 in the Millett Hall Sub-Gymnasium.
The session on Saturday, April 12 will run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and the session on Sunday, April 13 will run from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. In addition to current Miami students who will continue to be enrolled next year, incoming freshmen who have been accepted to Miami University for the 2014-15 academic year are eligible to tryout.
Those wishing to tryout need to complete waiver and health history forms, bring a copy of a physical form that has been completed within the last six months and provide a 4x6 headshot in the tryout uniform. There also is a $30 fee in order to tryout. (Additional Tryout Information)
Prior to the tryout, individuals should learn the words to the Miami University Fight Song. Individuals also should have great physical endurance and be positive and teachable. Tumbling and stunting will be part of the tryout process.
The Miami University Cheerleading Program is a combined group of talented co-ed and all-girl members, who are driven, hardworking, and spirited, always representing the Miami motto "Love and Honor."
