Last Week: The Miami University football team dropped a 24-6 decision last Wednesday to the Kent State Golden Flashes. (Recap) In the loss, sophomore Kaleb Patterson drilled a pair of field goals for Miami’s lone points. This Week: Miami will play host to the Buffalo Bulls on Tuesday, November 19 inside Yager Stadium at 8 p.m. The contest will be the final home game for 19 seniors (Preview).
Last Week: The No. 8 RedHawks were 20 minutes away from a weekend sweep of No. 12 Wisconsin. Miami took Friday's series opener in shutout fashion, 2-0 (Recap), behind 30 Ryan McKay saves. The sophomore goaltender's performance was his third shutout in four starts. MU got on the board thanks to freshman forward Anthony Louis' fourth goal of the season. On Saturday, junior forward Austin Czarnik's highlight-reel goal put the RedHawks up 2-1 after 40 minutes of play, but Wisconsin scored twice in the third to top Miami 3-2. (Recap) Earlier in the week, head coach Enrico Blasi announced the signing of defenseman Louie Belpedio and forward Ryan Siroky to National Letters of Intent during the early signing period. (Release) This Week: The RedHawks play their next four games on the road, beginning with a two-game series (Friday and Saturday) at conference foe Nebraska Omaha
This Week: Sophomore guard Reggie Johnson scored a career-high 24 points to lead all scorers in a 90-54 loss at Arizona State on Nov. 12. It was the second time in as many games Johnson has eclipsed 20 points and set a career scoring high. Johnson also tied a career high with five steals. Senior center Blake McLimans added 15 points and three blocked shots. (Recap) Miami men’s basketball signed three players to National Letters of Intent. On Wednesday, the RedHawks signed two Cincinnati area stand outs in guard Zach McCormick and wing Roderick Mills. (Release) On Thursday, the RedHawks signed forward Logan McLane out of North Carolina. (Release) This Week: Miami travels to Xavier for an 8 p.m. game on Wednesday, Nov. 20. The game will be televised on FoxSports1. Miami then returns home for its home opener against Wilmington at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 23. On Tuesday, the Wright State offense hit 13 three-point baskets, while its defense forced 29 RedHawk turnovers as Miami suffered a 90-63 decision to the Raiders. (Recap) Miami got its first win of the Cleve Wright era with a 55-39 victory over Chicago State on Saturday. (Recap) (Photo Gallery) On Wednesday, Coach Wright announced the signing of three players to National Letters of Kayla Brown (Westfield, Ind./Westfield), Baleigh Reid (Twinsburg, Ohio/Twinsburg) and Ana Richter (Oxford, Ohio/Talawanda) will each begin play for the RedHawks during the 2014-15 season. Last Week: A cold, windy day and a steady Michigan State offensive attack led the Spartans to a 3-0 victory over Miami on Wednesday in the NCAA Tournament Play-In Round game. The RedHawks finish their season at 12-10. (Recap) This Week: The 2013 season is now complete.
Last Week: Miami completed its season with a split of its final two matches on the road. The RedHawks dropped a 0-3 (19-25, 23-25, 22-25) decision to Buffalo on Friday. (Recap) Miami closed the season on a winning note, defeating Akron, 3-1 (33-31, 25-23, 22-25, 25-10) on Saturday evening. (Recap) On Wednesday, volleyball coach Carolyn Condit announced the signing of four players to National Letters of Intent on Wednesday. Olivia Rusek (Skokie, Ill./Niles West), Maeve McDonald (Grand Rapids, Mich./East Grand Rapids), Katie Tomasic (Livonia, Mich./Livonia Stevenson) and Courtney Bemis (DeKalb, Ill./DeKalb) will begin play for the RedHawks during the 2014 season. On Wednesday, Miami head softball coach announced the signing of Kaitlyn Gliha (Dresden, Ohio/New Albany) to a National Letter of Intent. Gliha will begin play for the RedHawks in the 2015 season. (Release)
