Last week: The Miami football team had a bye-week after losing to Bowling Green Oct. 12. This week: The RedHawks (3-4 overall, 2-1 Mid-American Conference) host undefeated No. 24 Ohio University Saturday Oct. 27 at 3:30 p.m.  A great Family Weekend Ticket Package is still available. Ice Hockey

Last week: The 4th-ranked Miami ice hockey team hosted a pair of games against Providence. The RedHawks tied the Friars, 1-1, on Friday thanks to two freshmen (RECAP). MU responded on Saturday with a 4-3 overtime win, as sophomore Austin Czarnik scored the game-winner (RECAP). Miami improved to 3-0-1 on the season. This week: The RedHawks travel to play a pair of games against Michigan Friday, Oct. 26 and Saturday, Oct. 27. Both contests start at 7:35 p.m.



Last week: The Miami soccer team clinched the regular-season MAC title after defeating Central Michigan and Bowling Green. On Friday, Haley Walter lifted the RedHawks past the Chippewas, 1-0, scoring the game-winning goal 30 seconds into double overtime (RECAP). On Sunday, senior Jess Kodiak led Miami to a 3-1 comeback win over the Falcons (RECAP). MU improved to 16-2 overall and 10-0 in the conference. This week: The RedHawks finish the regular season, playing Ball State at home on Thursday, Oct. 25 at 3 p.m. Miami then begins the MAC Tournament by hosting a team to be determined Sunday, Oct. 28.


Field Hockey

Last week: Miami, which clinched a spot in the MAC Tournament, split a pair of road games against Ball State and Michigan on Saturday and Sunday, respectively. The RedHawks beat the Cardinals, 7-1, thanks to excellent team play (RECAP), but dropped a game to the Wolverines, 3-0 (RECAP). Miami improved to 9-9 overall and 3-1 in the MAC. This week: MU finishes regular-season play with a home contest against Ohio Saturday, Oct. 27 at 10:30 a.m. The following week, Miami begins the MAC Tournament on Friday.



Last week: Miami extended its winning streak to three games with home wins against Toledo and Ball State on Friday and Saturday, respectively. The RedHawks swept the Rockets (RECAP) and defeated the Cardinals, 3-2, in a tough back-and-forth match (RECAP). MU improved to 8-15 overall and 3-7 in the conference. This week: Miami travels to play Ohio Friday, Oct. 26 at 7 p.m., before playing another road match at Kent State Saturday, Oct. 27 at 7 p.m.


Men's & Women's Cross Country

This week: After a week off, both the men's and women's cross country teams travel to compete in the MAC Championship Saturday, Oct. 27 in Buffalo, N.Y. The meet begins at 11 a.m.



Last week: Miami's successful weekend at the ITA Ohio Valley Regional ended Sunday, but not before another victory. Junior Christiana Raymond won her consolation quarterfinal in the morning before dropping a three-set heartbreaker later in the day (RECAP). Coming up: The RedHawks concluded their portion of the fall schedule and are now idle until January.


Women's Swimming & Diving

Last week: The Miami women's swimming team opened its 2012-13 season at Purdue Friday, losing by a score of 179-109 to the Boilermakers (RECAP), but it rebounded with a blowout win over Xavier on Saturday (RECAP). This week: The RedHawks host Evansville Friday, Oct. 26 at 4 p.m.


Men's Swimming & Diving

Last week: The Miami men's swimming team swam to an impressive win over the Xavier Musketeers Saturday at the Corwin A. Nixon Aquatic Center. With two first-place finishes from freshman Evan Bader and sophomore Joe Baumgartner, the RedHawks defeated Xavier 150-109 (RECAP). This week: The RedHawks host Evansville Friday, Oct. 26 at 4 p.m.



This week: After a week off, the Miami golf team is set to compete in the Georgetown Intercollegiate Monday, Oct. 22 through Tuesday, Oct. 23.



This week HawkTawk will be held Thursday at 7 p.m. at Kroger. All fans and students are welcome to attend.
