OXFORD, Ohio - After each had career-best weekends, the Miami Athletes of the Week connected by Frontier Communications for the week of Oct. 8-14 are sophomore forward Blake Coleman on the men's side while sophomore midfielder Kelsey Dinges and sophomore setter/outside hitter Meg Riley share the women's honor.

Coleman (Plano, Texas) had a huge opening weekend to lead the hockey team to a season-opening sweep of Colgate last Friday and Saturday. He scored three goals while adding an assist in the two games for a four-point weekend. Friday, he scored a pair of goals for his third career multi-goal game, including the first goal of the game and the season, which was the game-winner in the 3-0 shutout. His second goal of the night he scored unassisted. Coleman was the No. 1 star in Friday's game.

In Saturday's 5-1 win over the Raiders, Coleman again notched multiple points with a power play goal and an assist on Miami's third goal. It was his first time recording back-to-back multi-point games as he did not record back-to-back multi-point games all of last season. Coleman now has seven multi-point games for his career.  He posted a +2 rating Friday and a +1 rating Saturday for a +3 rating on the weekend while also firing nine shots on goal.

The Miami Men's Athlete of the Week accolade is the first of Coleman's career while he was also named CCHA Offensive Player of the Week for the first time in his career on Monday.

Dinges (Smithton, Ill.) had a monster weekend for the RedHawks, tallying two goals and handing out two assists to keep the soccer team undefeated in the MAC and on top of the MAC standings. She had a hand in all four goals Miami scored on the weekend while helping extend the RedHawks' winning streak to a program-record nine games.

On Friday at Northern Illinois, she notched two goals and an assist in Miami's 3-2 win, for a career-high five points in the match. She scored the game-winning goal at NIU with just 4.8 seconds remaining in regulation to break a 2-2 tie and send the RedHawks to victory with her last-second header. The two goals against the Huskies tied a career high, her third career multi-goal game (all this year). In Sunday's 1-0 win at Toledo, Dinges set up the game-winning goal, the only goal of the match, with her second assist of the weekend as Miami topped the Rockets in Toledo for the first time since 2002. Dinges now has a team-best 10 goals on the year and is tied for the team lead with 23 points, both of which are second in the MAC.

The honor is Dinges' first of her career while she also garnered MAC Offensive Player of the Week on Monday for the first time in her career.

Riley (St. Louis, Mo.) also had a career performance this past weekend as she recorded 38 kills in seven total sets, an incredible average of 5.43 kills per set. She made only three errors on 72 attempts the entire weekend for an attack percentage of .486 coming from the outside.  On Thursday at Central Michigan, Riley led the volleyball team with 16 kills on a .424 hitting percentage. Serving also part of the time as the setter, she had 10 assists. Riley just missed a triple-double for the match, finishing with eight digs.

On Saturday against Eastern Michigan, Riley did get her eighth triple-double of the season, accomplishing it in only three sets, as she helped Miami to its first MAC win of the year. She recorded a career-high 22 kills and also had 20 assists and 10 digs. She also assisted on five blocks. Riley hit .538 against the Eagles. She finished with 30 assists, 18 digs and seven blocks on the weekend, averaging 5.93 points per set.

Riley has now been named Miami Female Athlete of the Week twice this season. She was also tabbed MAC East Division Offensive Player of the Week on Monday.

Coleman and the No. 4 hockey team are back on the ice this weekend, hosting Providence Friday and Saturday at Steve Cady Arena. Dinges and the soccer team look to clinch the MAC regular-season title as they head to Central Michigan Friday before hosting Bowling Green Sunday at Miami Soccer Field. Riley and the volleyball team welcome Toledo on Friday and Ball State on Saturday to Millett Hall.
