OXFORD, Ohio -- Miami fans will notice a difference in the way they get information on the RedHawks today as MURedHawks.com relaunches with a new look and new webhost. After 11 years under the banner of CBS Interactive and its predecessors, the athletic department, in conjunction with IMG Sports, is moving to Neulion.
MURedHawks.com will still be your official destination for everything RedHawks, continuing all the great content, while adding several new and improved features to enhance the fans' online experience.
- A sleek new design created to deliver the latest in Miami sports and offering engaging ways for fans to interact with all RedHawks athletics programs.
- Increased access to what fans want most on the MURedHawks.com homepage, including video, social media, team schedules, live stats and more.
- Easier access to Miami All-Access including a video portal on the overall and sport home pages. During the 2012-13 season, Miami All-Access will have select live events in high definition available to watch on your computer and the soon-to-be-released iPad application.
- Also, launching this August, RedHawk mobile & tablet apps will be available for download on your iPhone, Android and iPad. Miami fans can stay up to date on all RedHawk news, scores, schedules, photos, rosters, live audio, and video on demand on the go.
"We constantly strive for our website to be the place where fans can turn for the latest, official information on their favorite RedHawk teams," says Miami Assistant Director of Athletic Communications and website coordinator Jim Stephan. "We feel that the new platform will make it easier to tell the stories of our programs, athletes and coaches while providing more access to audio, video and photos.
"In this age of technology and social media, we want to be at the forefront of the latest innovations so that our fans can follow along in the stadiums, at home and around the world.
Miami Athletics strives to deliver insider access to fans anytime, anywhere and the new website will be at the forefront of that effort.
"Being able to work with Miami University Athletics & IMG Sports to provide RedHawks fans, students and alumni access to the ultimate digital experience is extremely exciting," said Steve Brown, Senior Vice President of NeuLion.
