OXFORD, Ohio -- Coach Don Treadwell's ('82) caravan around the Midwest is coming to an end. But don't fret because the biggest alumni event is just around the corner. It's Alumni Weekend, June 16-19!
This weekend, join a couple thousand of your closest friends, remember the good old days or see where Miami University is headed. Highlights of the weekend include a dance party uptown, breakfast with the Hodges, wine tasting, and the Parade of Classes, just to name a few. For more information, visit the alumni website by clicking here.
The Red and White Club will be hosting a special event on Saturday inside the Gross Student-Athlete Development Center from 2-4 p.m. The event is open to anyone interested in Miami Athletics, but focuses on former student-athletes and current members of the Red and White Club.
Athletic Director BRAD BATES will give a short speech, explaining what athletics has been up to the past year and where the program is headed. Current student-athletes will also comment upon what's happening in athletics. Many other coaches and athletes from various sports will be in attendance and chatting with participants.
A video tribute, featuring highlights of the RedHawk football winning the MAC Championship and the GoDaddy Bowl, will recap all of the RedHawks' success over the past year. The video also will show the regular season MAC Championship women's field hockey team and the RedHawk ice hockey team's journey to winning the Mason Cup.
Miami's Athletic Ticket Office will be at the event to sell tickets for the upcoming football season. If you can't make it to Saturday afternoon's event, ticket sales also will be available Thursday from noon to 6 p.m., Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday from 7:30 to 10 a.m. in the Goggin Ice Center.
