OXFORD, Ohio – Stand As ONE. It’s a phrase that exudes unity, wholeness and teamwork. During the 2013-14 season, it will be the rallying call for Miami University’s fans, faculty, staff, students, student-athletes and alumni.

"One of the greatest things about Intercollegiate Athletics is that it brings people together. With our Stand As ONE campaign, we are taking that one step further with ways to get all members of our campus, community and alumni bases involved with Miami Athletics,” said Miami Director of Athletics David Sayler. “It will be exciting to see this program energize our fan base and I look forward to our department working with the various constituencies to make it effective on multiple levels."

Last season’s “All-In” campaign was embraced by several student programs and by numerous administrative units, wearing Miami’s school colors—red and white—on Fridays throughout 2012-13.

Miami Athletics wants the Miami and Oxford communities at-large to continue their Friday pride, encouraging faculty, students, staff, fans and community members to wear red on Friday’s again during the upcoming 2013-14 school year.

“It is always energizing to see people throughout our campuses wearing red on Fridays as a show of spirit and pride in Miami, and we will continue to encourage everyone to do so this year as we as we ‘Stand As ONE’,” said Miami President David Hodge. “Stand As ONE signifies that the community as a whole – our students, staff, faculty, alumni, student athletes, and our Oxford community -- are united in our pride and enthusiasm for Miami University.”

Miami fans can Stand As ONE on Sept. 21 at Yager Stadium, when the RedHawks battle rival Cincinnati.  Season tickets are on sale now at Miami’s Athletic Ticket Office inside Millett Hall. Call (513) 529-HAWK or order tickets online here.
