OXFORD, Ohio –The Mid-American Conference announced on Monday its Academic All-MAC team for women’s basketball. Earning a spot on the team for the second straight season was senior guard Courtney Osborn (Fishers, Ind.).
This is just the latest in a long line of awards won by Osborn. Last month, she became the first women's basketball player in Miami history to earn All-MAC honors during all four years of her career. As a senior, she led the RedHawks with a 19.1 points per game average. She also averaged 4.8 assists per contest. Osborn is Miami's all-time leading scorer and ranks sixth in MAC history with 2,166 career points.
Osborn is a finance major who has a 3.53 GPA. She was previously named MAC Female Scholar-Athlete of the Week on Dec. 14.
Juniors Hannah Robertson (New Albany, Ohio), Haley Robertson (New Albany, Ohio) and Kelsey Simon (Vernon Hills, Ill.), and sophomore Courtney Larson (Columbus, Ind.) were each named Honorable Mention Academic All-MAC. It is the second time Hannah Robertson has earned that award, and the first time for the other three.
