OXFORD, Ohio—Miami University men’s basketball added to its incoming class for 2014-15 with the signing of Logan McLane (Winterville, N.C./Greenfield School) to a national letter-of-intent.

McLane is a 6-foot-8 combination forward who preps at Greenfield School in Wilson, N.C. McLane averaged 17 ppg and 10 rpg and is rated a top 10 player in the state of North Carolina this season. He also was recruited by High Point, Mercer, Saint Louis, Seton Hall and Appalachian State.

“It’s always good to be able to go out of state and get a player out of the North Carolina area such as Logan,” said Miami University head coach John Cooper. “At 6-foot-8, he has tremendous skills. He can shoot and has several attributes that I think will fit in very well with what we like to do in our system. We recruited him quite a while, and he chose Miami, and we are excited to have him join our program. He will bring some size to his position and a passion for the game, and he’s going to blend very well with the players we have in the program."

McLane joins 6-foot-2 combination guard Zach McCormick and 6-foot-7 wing Roderick Mills, who signed national letters-of-intent with Miami on Wednesday (Nov. 13).
