OXFORD, Ohio-Two upcoming Miami University men's basketball games will be televised, and one game time will change as a result.
The Mid-American Conference announced Saturday (Jan. 19) that the RedHawks' Saturday, Feb. 9 game vs. Akron has been selected for the conference's national February basketball television package and will be aired on ESPNU at 1 p.m. It will still be a doubleheader for the RedHawks against the Zips, however, Miami's women's game versus Akron-originally slated for 1 p.m.-will follow the men's game against the Zips at 3 p.m.
The RedHawks' game against Ohio on Wednesday, Jan. 23 has been picked up by Time Warner Cable SportsChannel. The Battle of the Bricks rivalry game remains at 7 p.m. and will be called by Tim Bray and Joe Barry. It will be televised across the state of Ohio on Time Warner Cable channels 1311 HD and 311.
On Feb. 9, Miami also will induct Dale Cohen (women's tennis), Terry Hoeppner (football coach), P.L. (Pete) Miller (men's track & field), Ben Roethlisberger (football), Karin Sherr (synchronized skating) and Kyle Voska (men's golf) into the Hall of Fame during halftime of the men's basketball game.
