OXFORD, Ohio -- Junior Dan Walsh went 4-for-4 with a triple and double and Nate Bowles homered leading the Red Team to 10-5 come-from-behind victory in the opener of the annual Red and White series.

The White team jumped out to a 5-0 lead after four innings, but gave up two runs in the fifth, three in the sixth and five in the top of the seventh, and final, inning. Red Freshman Jake Romano led off the seventh with a double, then scored the go-ahead run on a Marcus Makuch triple. Junior Matt Packer has a pair of hits, including a double, in three at-bats.

Nate Williams threw four scoreless innings for the White team, striking out five without a walk. John Crummy drove in a pair in a 2-for-3 effort, including a double, while Ryan Elble and Alex Johnson added two hits a piece.

Mac Thoreson threw five solid innings for the Red team, despite giving up the early runs.

Game two will take place Friday at 3 p.m.
