OXFORD, Ohio -- Thanks to a new NCAA rule, Miami men's basketball coach John Cooper and his first-year staff got their first preview of what their team's prospects will be in 2012-13.

For eight weeks and up to eight hours per week, including two hours per week of skills-related instruction, men's college coaches are allowed to work with basketball players enrolled in summer school.

Featuring four first-year RedHawks, more than a dozen players attended Tuesday afternoon's practice. Transfer Will Felder (Cleveland) plus true freshmen RODERICK LAWRENCE (Orlando, FL), REGGIE JOHNSON, JR. (Chicago, IL) and GEOVONIE McKNIGHT (Middletown) got particular attention from the new coaching staff.
