OXFORD, Ohio—The Miami University men’s basketball RedHawk Youth Camp is quickly approaching. Head coach John Cooper, his staff and members of the RedHawk men’s basketball squad will be conducting a youth camp June 25-28 for boys entering grades 2-8 this fall.
Basic skill development at an early age is a key for future success. The camp’s goal is to promote the fundamentals of basketball in an environment conducive to keeping young basketball players engaged in the developmental process while creating excitement through the various competitions and games.
During the course of the camp, campers will be taught many valuable basketball skills and drills. Instruction focuses on the fundamentals of basketball with a specific emphasis on individual improvement, team offense, team defense, and shooting.
Campers have the opportunity to learn from Miami coaches, while also interacting and learning from their favorite RedHawk players on a daily basis. The camp, which runs from 8:30 a.m. to noon June 25-28, is held in the Home of the RedHawks: Millett Hall. The cost is $85.
