MONDAY'S GAME: The RedHawks make their 32nd MAC Tournament appearance when No. 11 seed Miami travels to No. 6 seed Bowling Green for a 7 p.m. tip in the first round of the Mid-American Conference Tournament on Monday, March 11. If the RedHawks advance, they would meet the winner of the No. 10 Northern Illinois at No. 7 Eastern Michigan match-up at 9 p.m. Wednesday, March 13 at Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland in the second round of the MAC Tournament. This is the ninth time Miami and Bowling Green square off in MAC Tournament action with the RedHawks holding a 7-1 advantage in tournament meetings. The last time the teams met was in the quarterfinals of the 2005 tournament with Miami notching an 85-65 win. The RedHawks have won the last seven tournament meetings between the schools with Bowling Green's lone tournament win against the RedHawks coming in the 1982 quarterfinals, 81-78, in Bowling Green, Ohio This is the 130th meeting between the teams in the all-time series with Miami holding a 77-52 advantage. The teams split the meetings earlier this season with each winning on its home court. Miami pulled out a 63-60 win in Oxford on Jan. 16, while Bowling Green posted a 52-44 win in the Stroh Center on Feb. 27.
MIAMI IN THE MAC TOURNAMENT: The RedHawks are 4-1 in MAC Tournament first-round games. Miami suffered its first opening-round loss last season at Toledo, 60-53. Miami is 36-27 all-time in MAC Tournament games.
20/20 VISION: Junior forward Jon Harris poured in a career-high 21 points at Akron on March 5, the first 20-point scoring effort of his career. Harris was 8-of-12 from the field, including 4-of-6 from 3-point range against the Zips. Junior forward Will Felder tied a Miami career high with 20 points in the following game at Ohio on March 9. It was the second time this season he hit the 20-point mark and was the eighth time this season a RedHawk scored 20 or more points.
