CLEVELAND – The Mid-American Conference announced its All-Academic Volleyball Team on Thursday. Making the squad for the RedHawks were seniors Jenn Caylor (Dayton, Ohio) and Cassie Farrell (Columbus, Ohio), along with junior Lisa Treadway (Dayton, Ohio). The three selections tied Northern Illinois, Ohio and Western Michigan for the most for any MAC school.

This is the first MAC All-Academic team spot for Caylor. In November she was named to the CoSIDA All-Academic District IV team, the first Miami volleyball player to earn a CoSIDA award since 2004. She has been on the Dean’s List in all but one semester at Miami. She is a French Education major and holds a 3.96 GPA. Caylor finished the season third on the team with 246 kills and third on the team with 160 digs.

This is the first MAC All-Academic selection for Farrell. She previously was named MAC Female Scholar Athlete of the Week on Nov. 17. Farrell earned First Team All-MAC honors in 2011 after leading the RedHawks with 265 kills and a .297 hitting percentage. She had 105 blocks on the season, an average of 0.88 per set.

It is the first MAC All-Academic selection for Treadway as well. She appeared in all 32 matches, making 23 starts. She finished fourth on the team with 181 kills and second with 221 digs.
