Football Injury Update: Tuesday, Oct. 2
• WR NICK HARWELL - Zac Dysert's main target looks like he may return from a leg injury this week. The junior wide receiver has missed the last three games, but was a limited participant in practice last week and moved well in practice Monday. Coach Don Treadwell said Harwell is "probable" for Saturday's game against Cincinnati. Whether he will be a starter or not, if he's ready to go, has not yet been determined. "I don't know," Treadwell said. "I think we have to see how he does at the end of the week."
• S JUSTIN BOWERS - The senior starter went down with what looked to be a knee injury in the second quarter against Akron. He was unable to walk off the field under his own power and did not play in the second half. Coach Treadwell is calling it a leg injury and said, "Right now, until we hear from the doctors, I would say Bowers with a leg would be doubtful this week." Junior Dante Taylor is listed as the No. 2 strong safety, but there is a possibility that former safety Pat Hinkel could move back into the secondary.
• G JOHN ANEVSKI - The junior went down with an undisclosed injury in the second half vs. Akron. While the guard isn't a starter, he is a frequent sub on the offensive line. Coach Treadwell has listed Anevski as "doubtful" for Saturday's game against Cincinnati.
• DT AUSTIN BROWN - The defensive line could really use its senior captain back this week, but coach Treadwell said Brown is listed as "doubtful" for Saturday's game. Brown has missed the last three games with a back injury.
