EAST LANSING, Mich. -- Miami Tennis players picked up six singles wins Saturday as play continued at the 2012 Auto-Owners Insurance Spartan Invitational, hosted by Michigan State. Alix Thurman and Nimisha Mohan were the big winners, each sweeping two matches after falling into the consolation bracket yesterday.

Christiana Raymond, Christine Guerrazzi and Ramona Costea won one of two matches during the second and third rounds.

In doubles action, all three RedHawk teams won their morning match before losing later in the day.

Action concludes on Sunday with the placement matches, including Costea and Guerrazzi's bids for third place in the Draw D singles. Costea will also play for third in the Draw B doubles with partner Ana Rajkovic.
