NASHPORT, Ohio – The Miami University golf team remained in seventh place after shooting a third round score of 19-over par 307 at the Mid-American Conference Championship on Saturday. The RedHawks are at 59-over par overall for the event, only four shots out of fifth place. Kent State leads the tournament at 14-over par.

Redshirt junior Mark MacDonald had the best round of the day for Miami, shooting a two-over par 74. He is currently tied for 17th at 12-over par.

Senior Brett Tomfohrde shot a three-over par 75 for the third straight round. He is tied for 10th overall at nine-over par and is looking for his first career top-10 finish at the MAC Championship.

Sophomore Scott Cahill is tied for 24th at 17-over par after shooting a 75 on Saturday. Junior Austin Kelly is 38th at 26-over par after shooting an 83. Sophomore Luke Shaughnessy was unable to participate after suffering an injury in the second round on Friday.

Miami completes play at the MAC Championship on Sunday with one final round of 18 holes.
