WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – The Miami University men’s golf team finished in 15th place at the Boilermaker Invitational on Sunday. The RedHawks shot a final round of 25-over par 313 to finish the tournament at 77-over par. Indiana, which is ranked 37th in the nation, won the tournament at 13-over par.
Brett Tomfohrde had the best individual round for Miami on Sunday. He shot a two-over par 74 to finish the tournament at 18-over par and tied for 53rd place. Ben Peacock was the RedHawks top overall finisher. After shooting a 79 on Sunday he was tied for 41st at 14-over par.
Miami will now have two weeks off as it prepares for the annual Mid-American Conference Championship Tournament May 4-6. This year’s event will be hosted by Northern Illinois at the Rich Harvest Farms Golf Course in Sugar Grove, Ill. The teams will play 36 holes on Friday, May 4, and single rounds of 18 holes on Saturday, May 5 and Sunday, May 6.
