OXFORD, Ohio – Concluding a busy eight days at home, the Miami University softball team hosts Morehead State on Tuesday for a non-conference doubleheader beginning at 3 p.m. The “Voice of the RedHawks” Steve Baker will have the call and it can be seen live on Miami All-Access for those who have a subscription.

Miami is coming off a 3-1 weekend in which it split a doubleheader with Western Michigan on Friday and then swept a two-game series over Northern Illinois on Saturday and Sunday. The ‘Hawks are 6-2 in Mid-American Conference play and tied with Kent State for the East Division lead.

Morehead State is 14-14 overall and 2-8 in the Ohio Valley Conference. The Eagles were swept in a doubleheader by Austin Peay on Saturday, but rebounded to split a doubleheader with Murray State on Sunday. They are led offensively by senior outfielder Elizabeth Wagner. She is hitting .439 with one home run and 14 RBI. MSU’s top pitcher is senior Katie Pfost. She is 8-7 with a 2.76 ERA in 23 appearances (15 starts).

The RedHawks will hit the road this weekend for a pair of important MAC series. Miami will take on Ohio on Friday for a doubleheader beginning at 1 p.m. The Red and White will then head to Akron for single games on Saturday at 2 p.m. and Sunday at 1 p.m.
