COLUMBUS, Ohio. – The Miami University golf team finished 14th at the Robert Kepler Invitational Sunday. The RedHawks shot a final round of 303 to finish the tournament 68-over par with a final score of 920. Georgia Tech ended up winning the tournament with a final round of 286 to finish with a score of six-over par 858.
Senior Mark MacDonald finished highest among the RedHawks placing 41st. After shooting a final round of 76, MacDonald finished the tournament 14-over par 227. Close behind was sophomore Jack Sparling and junior Scott Cahill, tying for 48th place. Both shot a final round of 75, finishing the tournament 15-over par 228. Sophomore Bud Radis and junior Brantley Kushner also tied, finishing in 73rd place. Radis and Kushner both shot a final round of 77 to finish 26-over par 239.
Playing as an individual, freshman Greg Conrad shot a final round 75 to finish tied for 53rd at 16-over par.
The Miami University men’s golf team will be traveling to West Lafayette, Ind. to participate in the Boilermaker Invitational this coming weekend.
