Junior forward Will Felder paced the RedHawks with a career-high-tying 20 points. He also scored 20 points in a game while at St. Francis before transferring to Miami. Felder was 10-of-14 from the floor (.714), which is the fifth time this season he has shot 60.0 percent or better from the field.

Felder's 20-point game marked the second time in as many games the RedHawks have had a 20-point scoring effort (junior guard Allen Roberts had 22 at Buffalo on Jan. 12). It is the sixth time this season a RedHawk has hit the 20-point mark.

Freshman Geovonie McKnight had two huge defensive plays in the last 1:37, picking up a big defensive rebound at 1:37 and taking a charge with 54 seconds left. McKnight also came up with a crucial steal at Buffalo on Jan. 12 in the last seconds of the game to preserve the win.

Junior center Drew McGhee recorded his second double-figure scoring effort of the season, both coming in the last four games, with a season-high 14 points. McGhee was 5-of-7 from the floor and is 20-of-26 from the field in the RedHawks' last eight games (.769).

Miami had struggled on the boards as of late, but the RedHawks managed to outrebound the Falcons 24-21. MU hauled in 10 boards on the offensive glass, the most since its 10 vs. Wilmington on Dec. 30.

Both teams shot an impressive percentage from the field. The RedHawks shot 56.5 percent in the opening half and 54.9 percent for the game. The Falcons shot 64.0 percent in the first half and 57.8 percent for the game.
