Miami University rising junior midfielder Jess Kodiak is studying in China for five weeks (May 11-June 14) this summer through Miami's School of Business. During her time overseas, she will be submitting blog updates periodically on MURedHawks.com (when she has access to internet). Below is her fifth and final entry.
I cannot believe that five weeks have passed already in China. It was an absolutely amazing experience. It feels like just yesterday we were landing in China. Words can’t describe my experiences to the fullest.
My last few days were the cherry on top. I went bungee jumping off a 764-foot-high tower. We were in Macau and it is the Las Vegas of China. Hong Kong was incredible as well. The skyline in Hong Kong is huge and a lot more people speak English so getting around was very easy.
Sadly now it is back to America and reality. I want to say thank you to my parents and coaches for allowing me to study abroad this summer, to Michael Weisman for helping post the blogs, and to all the Miami soccer girls - I miss all of you and cannot wait for this season!
Note: Miami opens the 2011 regular season Aug. 19 at home against IUPUI.
