OXFORD, Ohio - Miami University's 2012 football pre-season unofficially kicks off on Wednesday, Feb. 1, with the third annual National Letter of Intent (NLI) Day webcast: RedHawk Recruiting Live, presented by Miami Savings Bank.

Originating at the football offices inside Yager Stadium, the free webcast begins at 9 a.m. and continues until 1 p.m. Via internet access from anywhere around the world, fans will have a free ticket to the four-hour NLI event at www.MURedHawks.com.

Not only will they have the opportunity to get inside information about Coach Don Treadwell's newest RedHawk football recruits, they'll also learn about Miami's recruits for field hockey from Coach Inako Puzo, soccer from Coach Bobby Kramig, and track and field from Coach Kelly Phillips.

RedHawk Recruiting Live will be hosted by the IMG broadcast staff of Steve Baker, Tim Bray and Terry Bridge. Four different cameras will not only introduce fans to the new recruits through interviews, photos and video clips, they'll be able to get up close and personal with members of Miami's athletics staff plus a number of student-athletes.

Early next week, newsworthy details about 2012 Miami football season ticket sales will be divulged. Actual ticket sales will begin Feb. 1 during the RedHawk Recruit Live webcast.

In 2010 Miami became the first institution to initiate a live NLI Day webcast to its fans. That year's special set MURedHawks.com records for single-day page views and visitors.
