CARMEL, Ind. - The Miami University golf team remains in seventh place after their second day at the MAC Championships tournament. The RedHawks are 41-over par overall for the event, after shooting a 307 in their third round on Saturday. Kent State leads the tournament with a total score of 852 at 12-under par.
Junior Scott Cahill continues to take the lead for the RedHawks after shooting a 74 in the third round, putting him at four-over par with a score of 220. Cahill is currently tied for ninth place. Behind Cahill sits sophomore Daniel Schwarz who is tied for 19th place. Schwarz shot a 73 in the third round, leaving him eight-over par with a score of 224.
Sophomore Jack Sparling is tied for 30th at 13-over par. Sparling shot an 81 in his third round, leaving him with a score of 229. Behind Sparling is senior Mark MacDonald who is currently tied for 38th place. MacDonald shot a third round of 80 and is now 17-over par. Freshman Greg Conrad is sitting in 42nd place at 20-over par after shooting 80 in the third round, leaving him with a score of 236.
Miami completes play at the MAC Championship on Sunday with one final round of 18 holes.
