Every summer during the month of June, Miami University's Athletic Marketing department focuses on the Class of 2015 Student Orientation. The incoming students and their families venture onto campus for sixteen two-day sessions to register for classes and get their first Miami ID card. They also learn about Miami tradition and other student opportunities. 

Incoming Student Orientation is also a time where Miami Athletics reaches out to make a great first impression. Each day of orientation, Miami Athletics sets up a promotional table as part of the Resource Fair. Miami student-athletes, coaches and staff volunteer their time to meet and greet with the Class of 2015 and their families.

Orientation offers the first opportunity for students and families to be on the lookout for RED ALERT sign ups, Family Weekend tickets, season tickets and the opportunity to meet the Miami Athletic Department personnel.

Special ticket packages are available for purchase to families for the Miami Football themed "Family Weekend" which will be on September 24th vs. Bowling Green. Parents and families should be on the lookout for ticket information for the 2011 Football Season, as well as information regarding Athletics at the Resource Fair.

For just $40, the package features four Family Weekend Football tickets, four exclusive Miami Visors (not sold in stores), four John Morrell Hot Dogs and four soft drinks. Additional tickets are $10 per person and include visor, hot dog and drink.

Incoming students can use the Resource Fair as a time to learn about the largest student organization on campus, RED ALERT. Red Alert is the Student Loyalty Organization dedicated to School Spirit and supporting Miami Athletics. This summer, RED ALERT is offering a special 50% discount of just $10 to join, when students sign up in June; and students receive an exclusive T-shirt and official Membership card when they join.
