COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – USA Hockey revealed a camp roster that has a bit of a Miami flavor to it on Wednesday.

Sophomore forward Anthony Louis and incoming defenseman Louie Belpedio were each invited the U.S. National Junior Evaluation Camp, which runs Aug. 2-9 in Lake Placid, New York. The 42 players in camp are auditioning for spots on the U.S. National Junior Team for its foray in the 2015 International Ice Hockey Federation World Junior Championship (Dec. 26, 2014-Jan. 5, 2015) in Toronto and Montreal, Canada.

Louis is coming off a solid freshman campaign with the RedHawks. He finished fifth on the team with 25 points on 12 goals and 13 assists in 36 games. He was one of MU’s most dangerous forwards in the postseason, tallying six points (four goals, two assists) in four National Collegiate Hockey Conference Tournament games, earning a spot on the NCHC All-Tournament Team in the process. He recorded five multi-point games and tallied 18 of his points in the last 21 games of the year.

Belpedio served as captain of the U.S. National Team Development Program last season. He was a steadying influence on the blue line, posting 21 points (seven goals, 14 assists) in 26 games against United State Hockey League competition. He also finished with a +5 rating. He also played for Team USA at the U-18 IIHF World Championship in Finland, helping guide the team to a gold medal in that tournament.

Expectations are traditionally high for Team USA, as it has medaled in three of the last five IIHF World Junior Championships, including gold medals in 2010 and 2013.
