OXFORD, Ohio – The Miami University women’s basketball team invites supporters to participate in its annual golf outing on August 8 at the Twin Run Golf Course in Hamilton, Ohio. All funds will go to support the RedHawks’ planned foreign tour in the summer of 2015.

The event will be a four-person scramble featuring men’s, women’s and co-ed teams. The $110 registration fee will include greens fees, riding cart, range balls, brunch and dinner. There will also be a silent auction at the event.

Registration begins at 9:30 a.m. with an 11 a.m. shotgun start. Brunch will be available at registration. From 10-10:45 a.m., Miami head golf coach Zac Zedrick will be on hand to provide golf tips. Following dinner at the course, head coach Cleve Wright will bring everyone back to Millett Hall for a tour of the newly renovated facilities.

Any individual or business that would like to advertise at the golf outing may sponsor holes at the rate of $200 per hole. The sponsor will receive signage at the hole and their name and logo will appear on the official program. They will receive special mention from the coaching staff at the dinner and awards ceremony at the end of the day. All sponsorships are 100 percent tax deductible.

“Foreign tours give our players a once in a lifetime experience where they travel together, compete against professional teams and are exposed to the culture of a country,” said Wright. “We appreciate your support of the women’s basketball program.”
