As summer begins, June 14 - 17 marks Miami University's annual Alumni Weekend on campus.  Alumni, of all ages, returned to their Alma Mater for a weekend of festivities.   The weekend will begin at the Goggin Ice Center, where Alumni will receive their registration information and navigate the Welcome Center that highlights campus departments and partners.  Miami New Head Basketball Coach, John Cooper, will be teaching a "Class without Quizzes" on Saturday at McGuffey Hall!

A few of the highlights of the weekend include (Full List of Events):

  • Dance in the streets at the Uptown Welcome Back Party
  • Hang out with classmates at your Reunion Luncheon
  • Take a trip down memory lane with a campus tour, by staying in a residence hall, or by eating breakfast in a dining hall
  • Entertain the kids with carnival games on Friday night, sand art at the Welcome Center when you check in, and an awesome KidZone at MiamiFest on Saturday night (including clowns, inflatable games and bubble pools)

Saturday evening will showcase the annual Parade and Picnic on Central Quad where all Alumni come together for an evening of great food, live music, and fun.  Miami's mascot Swoop will make a special appearance at the Picnic in the RedHawk KidZone area.  Children of all ages can take advantage of the opportunity to get their picture taken with Swoop.   Be sure to check Swoop's Official Miami University Athletics' Page for all of the photos!

Miami Athletics, in conjunction with Campus Activities Council (CAC), Miami University Alumni Association, Student Activities and Leadership, and University Communication encourage all Miami alumni, family, friends and fans to reunite in Oxford on Saturday, September 22 for Homecoming.   "Red, White and MU" will be the theme of Homecoming 2012.

Homecoming Weekend will feature the Football game versus UMASS on Saturday, September 22, at Noon. Miami Athletics is offering a special McFamily Football Foursome deal which will feature four game tickets, four Miami branded premium items (not sold in stores) and four McDonald's meal vouchers for one to use at their leisure, all for just $44 (no hidden fees, only $44).

CAC's Parade and Pep Rally will precede the Homecoming game; the parade will end at Tailgate Town on the West Lawn of Millett Hall, with the Pep Rally to follow in Tailgate Town. More details about Homecoming 2012 will be available in the coming months.
