Fun Miami Sports Moment:

When I was younger, I went to a Miami-Iowa football game with my family. I had no idea who any of the players were but was just excited to watch football. I remember thinking the quarterback for Miami was very good but I didn’t know his name. That quarterback turned out to be Ben Roethlisberger. Now that he is a major player in the NFL, I can say that I watched him play in college before he got famous.

Miami Sports Moment:

My most memorable sports moment at Miami was beating the 24th ranked Northern Illinois football team to win the 2010 MAC Football Championship in Detroit. We went into the games as 20 point underdogs and pulled off an incredible 4th and 20 play on the scoring drive that put us in position to win. It was a great way to end an unbelievable season and showed our transformation from the previous season. It was one of those magical sports moments and one of my most memorable moments of my athletic career.

Miami Sports Moment:

It was the 2011 Miami vs. Akon RAIN game. With my make-up dripping down my face and my clothes soaking wet, it was the unforgettable rain and cheering Miami University Football onto Victory that made my Miami sports moment. From Jumping up and down to splashing water everywhere from impact, I felt as if I was a little kid again playing in the rain and doing what I love, cheerleading.
